I also found this vintage purse my beautiful Mom wore in college back at PennState in the 60's. It is a John Romain and it was love at first sight. I did a little google search on it and found a description that stated, "These were very expensive, high quality, all leather purses...and a must if you belonged to the cheerleader or preppy crowd." My Mom agreed that she was in the preppy crowd, not the hippy crowd. I can see her with her long, silky brown hair wearing this John Romaine purse with her knee high socks, kilt skirt and crew neck sweater. Sure I could rock the most trendy and expensive designer handbag there is, but there is something sweet, something charming and something unique about one that is vintage. Not every girl and their Mom is wearing one. Just one Mom, passed down to one of her girls. And that too is such a special honor.
Now go scour your Mom's closet and see what treasures you can find!
