This Little Gap Dress

Dress: Gap; Cardi: Anthropologie; Belt: Nordstroms BP; Shoes: Target; Purse: Vintage
Let's talk about this strapless ombre check dress I bought at the Gap last week.  Can we just say, love at first sight?  I saw it and immediately found a legitimate excuse to purchase it.  I would buy it for my best friend Anne's wedding rehearsal!  But to be honest, my intentions with this dress were more vain.  I loved the color, I loved the ombre effect, I loved the checks, I loved the fit.  And, I loved it's potential versatility.  Before I even tried it on, I already had  several different ideas how to wear it.  I envisioned it dressed up with a pair of heels, or dressed down with a pair of Chuck Taylors.  Maybe you are guilty of this too, but so many times when I go shopping, I make the mistake of buying something that does not have a place in my wardrobe.  Meaning, I have to purchase other items just to wear it.  But not with this lil check of a dress.  It fits perfectly with what I've already got and I know I will get tons of wear out of it.  So, stay tuned for the all remixes!

P.S. The Hubster was kind enough to take these photos of me.  I think he did a great job!  It's nice to use other functions on our camera rather than just the point and shoot.

P.S.S. I was featured on Weardrobe.  Check me out!

Such a sweet man you have! I am extremely guilty of buying things that don't have a place in my wardrobe and also not being able to see myself in chucks. My bf wants to buy me so bad and I always say no because I have no idea what to do with them. Your vain reasons were all good reasons to buy the dress. Besides it looks great on you so who can argue with that?!
Cheers,
Bre
