Paris is second to none in the patisserie/boulangerie departments. I'm
not over exaggerating when I say this, but that the croissant pictured here, is the world's best croissant. It literally melts in your mouth. I ate one every single morning when I woke up. Since then, I
have yet to eat a croissant that could possibly compare. And let's not
forget to mention, the macaroons. Those little french cookies are.heaven.in.your.mouth. to die for.
On this particular morning - our last morning in Paris - we were heading to the Notre Dame Cathedral. It was gloomy out, and the streets were being sprinkled with rain. It's so easy to take a turn in Paris, and get lost somewhere new. While we were walking, we stumbled upon this amazing outdoor market in the Latin Quarter, with fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, pastas, sweets, breads, and wines. You name, it they had it. I could only imagine living in Paris, walking out my front door, eating the world's best croissant, picking out colorful macaroons, and shopping for dinner.

omg! what yummy pictures! I've heard a lot of good things about the croissants and the macaroons from there. I do hope I get to experience such yumminess myself.
I love Laduree macaroons, the most Parisian thing you can buy! Delightful!

If I was forced to have one meal for the rest of my life it would be croissants and macaroons. These pictures are beautiful.
How lovely! I love the convenience, the beauty, of just being able to run out the door and pick up fresh whole food for every meal. So simple, but the best food ever. Pierre Herme...ah, I can taste them now.
YUM! I am super hungry now haha :)

Just fyi, these are "macarons", not macaroons (totally different cookie, which is a coconut cookie). Americans are always (mistakenly) calling the French Macaron a macaroon.
I am loving the pics. Makes me so excited to go over seas next spring!

All that food looks so good! Yum!!
I've never had a macaroon before, but it would be interesting to try it, especially since you says they're good.
I love that last picture of just the buildings on either side of the little street. A great capture of simple Paris life.
